A ROUGH WEEK

She called and I thought it was one of her, 'Hi" calls. "They are moving you again" she deadpanned. My heart sunk and I felt that familiar lump again in my throat.

This was a strong career move, but as usual I was once again blinded by emotions. What does this portend for us, what would the distance do to us and can the fledgling partnership withstand the shock.

I saw the fear, I felt the voice quake as the dreaded missive hit my eardrums on its way to my weakened heart. This was the second time, the second time the infidels struck. The first time was repelled, repelled by the same dark angel who has now facilitated this present move.

Port Harcourt, I heard. Port what? I screamed. At that point, I saw Zara, her begging eyes, squint with pain. I had missed all her milestones. didnt see her sit, didnt see the first tooth, didnt see the first walk and didnt hear the first word and now just might not see the first pop on her chest.

what kind of life and for what. for a morsel of bread at the end of the month? for a pittance at the end of the month?

I just laughed and looked in her big eyes. I tried to smile but couldnt get the energy, but then she smiled. I saw the unique gap, the slim flesh that covered the gap, but went up exposing a sweet gorge and I found strength.

Started working the phones, had meetings and slowly but surely manourvered my position to a place of little comfort.

IS FAYOSE NORMAL?

I read last night of the fight between Fayose, the former Governor of Ekiti State and Olusegun Obasanjo our two time Head of State. He was said to have called Obasanjo a lot of unprintable names and obasanjo in his characteristic manner replied double dose.

but what do you guys think is wrong with Obasanjo. he removed the guy as Governor, he jailed the guy and till today the man is struggling for his freedom and he expects the man to greet him? offcourse if he had his way, Fayose would have poured Obasanjo Acid-which would have helped OBJ wipe off the funny facial tribal marks that exquisitly adorn OBJ's mug . You could see his frustration in that according to the reports, even after he went out to cool off, he still continued screaming and throwing barbs at OBJ.

I have met OBJ before, even had Lunch in his Abeokuta house (it was Rice and Stew). I marvelled at his relative small frame, his beady eyes and the way he was just staring at us as we ate, almost as if he wished he was younger once again.

He laughed sparingly but cracked a lot of jokes. He spent over 5 hours with us and at the end of the day, we all left there wondering if this was the same OBJ we usually read about.

Fayose is a frustrated man and in his anger showed great disrespect to a great (depending on which part of the Country you come from) Stateman. I think he should send me to apologise on his behalf because I have a strong feeling that if OBJ ever sets his eyes on Fayose again, fayose would leave that encounter with his set of teeth not really complete.

I rest my case.

what do you guys think, who won the encounter? Fayose or OBJ
